Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNDA ANNE TAILLIEU (nee RITCHOT) May 18, 1953 December 2, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Lynda, on December 2, 2008 at River Health Centre at the age of 55 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Wayne; daughters, Tammy (Brent), Shelly, and Jody; grandchildren, Destiny, Kayla, Brett, and Miya; step-grandchildren, Jordyn and Nick; siblings, Fred Buzz (Joyce) Ritchot, Sharon (John) Vegh; Bill Ritchot; Michelle Ritchot (Stefphany Cholakis); father- and mother-in-law Marcel and Heather Taillieu; brother- and sisters-in-law, Elaine Pitman, Wendy Wallis, and Garry Taillieu; and many other extended family members and friends. Lynda was predeceased by her mother and father, Edith and Fred Ritchot. Lynda was born May 18, 1953 in Winnipeg and spent most of her childhood in Charleswood with her brothers and sisters. At the young age of 14, Lynda met her future husband Wayne and they were married 4 years later at Westminster United Church on October 2, 1971. Lynda was a hard worker, not only raising her three children, but also holding down a variety of different jobs over the years. She enjoyed taking her children to lake in the summertime and going on long road trips during summer vacations. Lynda devoted her life to her family, especially her children and grandchildren; never missing a sporting event, a school activity, and selflessly volunteering for any activity for both her children and grandchildren until her health would no longer allow her to do so. Her other great passion was bingo and she enjoyed the Wednesday afternoons she spent with her bingo buddies. Lynda was a kind, loving, and courageous woman who always put others' needs before her own. Lynda will be deeply missed and her spirit will continue to live on through her children and grandchildren. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Karen Boyd, Dr. Janice Richman-Eisenstat, the staff at Riverview Health Centre, and especially to her homecare nurses and healthcare aides who gave her many hours of comfort and friendship over the last few years. A memorial service will held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynda's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6. God saw her getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around her And whispered, Come with me. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away, Although we loved her dearly We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Send expressions of sympathy to www.mem.com
