Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA SZCZEBIWOWK (nee LEMECHA) 1914 - 2009 With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mom, Baba, and Prababcia, Maria Szczebiwowk on January 20, 2009 at the age of 94 years and six months at Holy Family Home. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Ignace (1977) and parents, Wasyl and Ahafia Lemecha. She was the last member of four brothers and three sisters. Maria is survived in Poland by her daughter, Olga (Teodor) Rode; granddaughters, Ewa (Artur), Renata (Mirek); great-grandchildren, Michal, Kasia and Ania; in Canada, daughter, Irene (Jerry) Pilipowicz; grandchildren, Roman (Lindsey), Zenon (Kristen), Bohdanka (friend, Richard); niece, Maria (George) Pilipowicz; nephew, Wasyl (Helen) Lemecha; Irene and Zdzislaw Krzyzelewski and their families; numerous nieces and nephews in Poland, Ukraine and France. Special thanks to all the angels at the St. Mary's Ward at Holy Family Home for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 23 at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24 also at the Church with Fr. V.
