DOUGLAS WILLIAM THOMSON Suddenly on February 23, 2009, Douglas passed away at his residence at the age of 53 years. Douglas will be greatly missed by his sons John and James Thomson, his partner Ruby Melquist, sisters Heather Loreth (Bill), Pat Thomson (Gord), brothers Don and Bruce Thomson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Joyce and sister Linda. Douglas was a member of Scouts Canada and The Independent Living Resource Centre. He was also a published poet with over sixty poems. At Douglas's request cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
