VICTOR THORDARSON It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Victor, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend on August 1, 2010 at the age of 92 years. Besides his wife Thruda (Trudy) he is survived by two daughters Vickie (Rick) Timmers and Joann (Sam) Shields, four grandchildren Gwillyn (Travis) Cote, Casie (Matt) Nishi, Tyler (Kelly), and Daniel (Cindy), three great-grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his fourth great-grandchild. He also leaves to mourn his passing, brothers Herb and John who reside in California. Victor was predeceased by his brother Frank and his parents. Victor was born in Winnipeg on November 16, 1917 and was raised in Los Angeles, CA. He acquired his electrical trade from his enlistment with the U.S. Army 222nd Signal Corps and was a veteran of the Second World War. Victor was a member of the Beaver Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Khartum Temple Shriners Skooter Patrol . The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for the quality of care. In keeping with Victor's wishes a private family Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010. Cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Victor's name. 586-8044
