Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN AGNES TARNOWSKI (nee STECIUK) January 20, 1921 - November 7, 2010 The family of Jean Tarnowski are sad to announce the peaceful passing of beloved Mom, Baba, and Great-Baba who left to be with family and friends who have gone before her. Left to mourn are daughters Emily (Luke), Violet (Mers), Angie (Ernie); son Victor (Pat); son-in- law Gary; grandchildren Victoria (Mike), Travis (Michelle), Frank (Tammy), Darryl, Kevin (Cherylynn), Jason, Crystal, Charlotte, Percy, Laurie (Tom), Ian (Janelle), Brent and Amanda; great-grandchildren Jordana, Rhiara, Daarian, Brittany, Mitchell, Brendan, Avery, Camryn, Cadence, Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Amelia and John Steciuk, brother Walt, sister Adeline, her loving husband Joseph, twin sons Andrew and Nicky, daughter Bernice, grandchildren Kelly and Carter. Jean was born and raised in Winnipeg. She married Joe and moved to Malonton, MB to start their life together where they raised their children on the farm. After her husband passed away in 1976 she moved back to Winnipeg and started a career as a home care worker until she retired at the age of 67. Family meant everything to Mom. She always put everyone first and was always loving and caring to anyone she met. Mom's passion was working in the kitchen and making sure she made chicken soup for everybody. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for all their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12 at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Komarno at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Father Harry Chuckry will officiate. Interment to follow at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Malonton. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
