DONALD SYRYK With a broken heart I am announcing the passing of my husband and best friend. Donald Syryk of Neepawa, MB entered into rest on December 16, 2010 at the Neepawa Health Centre at the age of 80 years. He was born on May 4, 1930 in the R.M. of Rosedale, MB. His first job was working on a dairy farm, then Hydro after which he moved to Winnipeg to seek employment. He worked as a power house engineer at the Shriners Hospital for crippled children for 20 years. He then worked at the Winnipeg School Division #1 until retirement. Donald's hobbies included wood working, renovations, and travelling to many places such as Europe, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and across Canada. He was predeceased by his parents and in-laws. He is survived by his wife Bernice of 53 years, brother Andy, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many dear friends. Funeral Mass was held on December 20, 2010 at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, Neepawa, MB with Fr. Michael Raj Savarimuthu officiating. Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, MB. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. White's Funeral Home, Neepawa in care of arrangements.
