THELMA JUNE TAMBLYN Our Thelma June Tamblyn, 89, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on February 10, 2011 in Yakima, WA. Born in Olympia, WA June was raised and educated in Yakima. After high school, June attended beauty school. She was a talented beautician and lent her skills to provide hair cuts for family and friends for years. June married Dennis Orlando Tamblyn in 1941. Shortly after Dennis returned from war, they transferred with John Deere Co. to Winnipeg, where they raised their four children. June enjoyed being a homemaker. She was full of laughter and had a loving smile for everyone. She made time for family and events, and still served a hot meal and homemade pies for dinner. We admired her willingness to always listen to others, her love of gardening, sewing and knitting. Junebug' opened her heart and home to family and friends. She is survived by her children and spouses: Randy and Nancy Tamblyn of Selah; Marla Hamburg of Vancouver, BC; Rusty and Dinah Tamblyn of Winnipeg, Dusty and Marsha Tamblyn of Denver, CO; stepbrother Tom Brown of Yakima; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Rinaldo Erol and Sadie Elizabeth (Wood); husband Dennis in 1973; stepsister Marilyn Cramer; and son-in-law Bill Hamburg. Memorial was held February 17 in Yakima.
