LAURA THOMPSON Born April 14, 1982 It is with overwhelming sadness we announce that our beautiful daughter, Laura Thompson, has passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 21, 2011 at the tender age of 28. Laura is deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed more than words could possibly express. It gives us comfort to know that she is with her Nanny and special Uncle Al, and that we will be reunited with her one day. Laura leaves to mourn; her beloved parents, Doug and Karen, her adoring brother Brian and her precious grandparents; Ernie and Joan Wilkie, and Herb and Minn Thompson, as well as her wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. Laura was a gifted and gorgeous girl who brought deep meaning and joy to all the lives she touched. Laura was a graduate of the Canadian Mennonite University. A memorial service to honour Laura's life and spirit will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. We are deeply touched and ever grateful for the tremendous show of support and the outpouring of love we have received; we appreciate you all. In memory of Laura, please take some time in the upcoming weeks and months to really connect with the people you love; life is truly a precious and fragile gift ... cherish and treasure each and every day.
