CESARINA TACCHI (nee GALASSI) November 15, 1935 - March 27, 2011 Our beautiful mother peacefully passed with her family at her side on March 27, 2011, after a courageous battle at the Health Sciences Centre. Cesarina leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 50 years, Nazzareno and daughters Juliana and Laura. She is predeceased by her parents Argante Galassi and Orsola Ragnaetti, her sisters, Giuseppina and Edda Galassi, and was last to survive. Born on November 15, 1935, in the town of Fossato Di Vico, Perugia, Italy, she immigrated to Canada in May 1960, after a year of engagement with our father, they married on July 1960. Her purpose in life was her family, and did an amazing job taking care of us. We were her main priority and we are eternally grateful for the love and joy she gave us. We thank you Mom for being our angel. Her passion was cooking extravagant meals, and she enjoyed having family and friends joining us in the celebration of friendship. She was very proud of her daughters and we will always miss her hugs and kisses. We love you Mommy, and will always miss you. We are so proud and honoured to be lucky enough to have you as our mother. You will always be in our hearts and memories. Our family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Maksymiuk, Dr. Abraham Mare, Palliative Care, the staff at A4 Medicine, and CancerCare at the Health Sciences Centre, for their dedication in the care of our mother. In addition, we wish to thank the many family members and friends who provided comfort and support to our mother and us. The Pallbearers will be Peter Aiello, Anthony DeLuca, Michael DeLuca, Roberto Radicchi, Giordano Radicchi, Anthony Radicchi, Joe Tacchi and Jordan Tacchi. Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Friday April 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Sam Argenziano celebrant. Entombment to follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley Street. In lieu of flowers, in respect for the season of lent, if friends desire donations may be made to Health Sciences Centre Foundation, at MS107 820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1R9.
