EBBA LINNEA (WAHLQUIST) THORSTEINSON 1921 - 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Faulkner MB on February 21, 1921 to John and Svea Wahlquist and grew up in Steep Rock, MB. She was predeceased by her siblings: Viola, John, Agnes, and Helga. She worked at J.T Arnason's store in Oak Point, MB where she met and married Thor (Steini) Thorsteinson. They enjoyed 66 happy years of marriage until Thor's death in 2008. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Marilyn Waterman and son Barry (Wanda) Thorsteinson. She has six grandchildren, Diana Waterman, Wendy (Paul) Freeman, Ken (Amy) Waterman, Erik (Tobi) Thorsteinson, Stefan Thorsteinson and Nels Thorsteinson. She also has seven great-grandchildren: Daryl (Meagan) Freeman, Craig Freeman, Benjamin Freeman, Alexandra Freeman, Violet Thorsteinson, Brynn Waterman and Will Waterman. Ebba worked in Winnipeg for Safeway and Eaton's as well as being dedicated to everyone in her family. Mom loved her bingos at the Legions (going out six nights a week past the age of 90) and spending time with her friends there. We are very grateful for the wonderful care that she received from Dr. Polimeni, Dr. Wilson and the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 20 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery.
