Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY (ANTON) SZYMANSKI 1920 - 2011 Peacefully, on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Anton Szymanski, aged 90 years. In his lifetime he accomplished many things in spite of many health challenges. Anton lived and worked in various parts of Canada and the USA. He worked as a logger, farmer, trucker, construction contractor, hydro lineman and security guard. He maintained a third generation family farm before moving to Selkirk. He loved to fish and travel, Polish, Ukrainian and country and western music. He is survived by four children, Elaine, Maureen, Tony Jr. and David; granddaughter Amy; brother Stanley, sisters Bernice and Jean; sisters-in-law Pauline and Frances. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Magdalina (Maggie) (nee Chodorowska); the mother of his children, Hilda Bourque, numerous sisters and brothers, brother and sisters-in-law and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. A private family interment will follow in the Birds Hill cemetery, East Park entrance.
