Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE TANACK July 18, 1916 - July 11, 2011 One week before his 95th birthday, Steve passed away in Burnaby, BC, predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Mary, in 2004, and survived by sons, John and Dennis. Born in East Kildonan, MB, Steve served in the RCAF from 1939 to 1945. Longtime railroad worker with both CNR and CPR, Steve also had an entrepreneurial side which he was able to give his time to after early retirement. Steve, Mary and the boys moved to Vancouver from Winnipeg in 1957 but Steve and Mary regularly travelled to Winnipeg throughout their lives and Steve remained a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ukrainian Veteran's Branch 141 in Winnipeg until the time of his death. Steve will rejoin Mary at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Royal Oak at Canada Way in Burnaby, BC. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn.
