MARGUERITE SYLVESTRE (nee PEIRRARD) Peacefully with her family at her side Maggie passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at DeSalaberry Hospital in St. Pierre Jolys, Manitoba, at the age of 78 years. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Diane (Vincent), her son Richard (Patricia) and her grandchildren Isabelle, Kristina, Danielle, Sylvain, Nicholas, Joshua and Geneviève. She also leaves behind her sisters Jeanne, Marie, Julie, Maria, her brother Art (Vilja) and brother-in-law Lucien along with many nephews, nieces and cousins. Maggie was predeceased by her husband Maurice, her parents Thomas and Maria, her in-laws Joseph and Marie, her sisters and brothers Bertha (Danny), Irma (Eugene), Joe, Albert (Jeanne), Gus (Marge), and sisters-in-law Aline and Noëlla, brothers-in-law Wilf, Joe, Desiré and Marcel. Mom was born in Storthoaks, Saskatchewan. When she was 11 years old, Mom took care of her siblings when her sister Jeanne got married. Mom married Maurice in 1953. Mom worked at many jobs after her marriage, her favourite job was that of a seamstress, she fabricated everything from wedding dresses to ornate winter mitts for her family and friends. Mom loved to make dresses for her granddaughters. The family would like to thank Dr. Migally and the staff at the DeSalaberry Hospital for the great care Mom received. We would also like to thank the home care workers who cared for Mom (especially Maria and Jocelyn). We will miss you very much Mom but we know that you are now with Dad and watching over us. God bless you! Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Viateur Roman Catholic Church, Otterburne, MB with L'Abbé Antoine Vo Van Hoa officiating. Viewing prior to service at 1:30 p.m., interment to follow in the Otterburne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
