HAROLD WAYNE GOWER 1942 - 2011 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother Harold Wayne Gower, A Good Man! On Wednesday, October 26, 2011 his fight with lung disease ended peacefully. Remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Brenda Gower (Tomlinson); son Chris Gower and Raeleen Tascona; son Adam Gower and Jodi Gower (Hadden); grandchildren Brooklyn, Regan, Brandan and Declan Gower. He is survived by his father Leonard Gower, brothers David Gower (Stella) and Richard Gower (Kathy), and sister-in-law Sylvia Toplenski (Louie). And many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Verna Gower and his sister Belinda Gower. Wayne was born in Neepawa Manitoba and spent time growing up in Transcona with his mother and family while his father served in the Second World War. Wayne joined the air force where he served in Europe and Canada as a firefighter which also became his career. Wayne met his wife Brenda while he was stationed in Rivers Manitoba before they moved to Winnipeg and later Anola, Manitoba to raise their family. Wayne and Brenda moved to Big Whiteshell Lake where they enjoyed summers at the cottage and winters in Apache Junction, Arizona. Wayne was an avid fisherman, shot pool, did wood carving and enjoyed playing cards with Brenda and their family and friends. Wayne cherished most his time with his entire family, especially his two granddaughters and two grandsons. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Cres. in Oakbank.
