AUDREY VIOLET TILLEY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Violet Tilley (Jones) on November 2, 2011, at the age of 86. Audrey was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Audrey leaves her husband of 61 years, Ray, her children: Paul (Shirley), Ardith (Peter) and Mark, her grandchildren: Michael (Laurie) and Raymond (Melanie) Hall, Heather and Kevin Tureski, her great-grandchildren Julia and Avery Hall, sister-in-law Ellen Harold, brother- in-law Jim Clark, as well many nephews, nieces and cousins who were a great part of her life. Audrey was born to Mary (Halkett-Gavine) and Albert Alexander Jones on January 30, 1925 and was raised along with her sister Hazel in St. Vital. There she developed a life long relationship with a special group of girlfriends that remains true to this day. On May 13, 1950, Audrey married Raymond Tilley and together they raised their three children in St. James in a very warm and loving home. Audrey's most treasured times occurred at the family cottage at Laclu, Ontario where everyone wished that summer would never end. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital for the special care she received. A celebration of Audrey's life will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm.
