Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN PAUL SWETZ March 2, 1946 - November 16, 2011 It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan, our beloved husband, father, brother-in-law and friend. Left to mourn his passing is his dear wife Irene, of 36 years; daughter Corinna; brothers-in-law Peter of Winnipeg and Tony (Karen) of British Columbia. Alan was employed with C.P. Rail for 31 years. His character, joking ways and love of people brought him many friends. He was kind, generous, considerate of all who knew him. He retired in 2010 and loved every minute of it. His home was his castle and family a first priority. How he loved to clean everything, we labeled him Mr. Clean. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing a new broom or shovel. My beloved, how well you took care of me during my lengthy stay at the hospital. Your love for me really shone through, I can't describe the ache in my heart not to have you near me anymore, but not even death can keep us apart. We know you're watching over us. Sleep well my beloved, until we meet again. Jesus, Mary, Joseph pray for us. Prayers and viewing will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at the Paroisse Notre-Dame de Lorette in Lorette, MB. Burial will be held at the Paroisse Notre-Dame de la Misericorde in Ile des Chenes. Wheeler Funeral Home in care of arrangements, 211 Regent Ave. W., 224-1525.
