WARREN GEORGE BREYFOGLE December 10, 1921 - December 2, 2011 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Warren Breyfogle on December 2, 2011 at Grace Hospital. Warren was a devoted father and grandfather, an avid woodcarver and handyman, and a connoisseur of jokes. Warren was born in Union Point, MB on December 10, 1921, the son of Lawrence and Wanda Breyfogle. He worked on the family dairy farm near Ste. Agathe before enlisting in the Air Force during the Second World War. In 1951 he married Joyce Gluck and they farmed with Warren's parents before acquiring their own farm near Rosser. This was the perfect location to raise their seven children and for Warren to be involved in the community club and in coaching sports. After retiring from farming, Warren managed a number of Gulf service stations. Warren and Joyce spent a few years living in St. James before retiring to their cottage at Sandy Hook, and then moving to Lions Manor in Stonewall. Recently Warren was living in the Sturgeon Creek Retirement Residence in Winnipeg. Warren was predeceased by his wife, Joyce; parents, Lawrence and Wanda; sisters, Dorothy and Helen; and daughter-in-law, Christie Newson. He is survived by his seven children, Donna (Doug Langrell), Debbie (Jerry Jones), Wilfred (Rhonda Turner), Marvin, Wendy (Terry Bradley), Terry (Mike Huha), and Tim (Margaret Edwards); also by 12 grandchildren, Kate, Thomas, Brent, Kelly, Lee, Adam, Candy, Abby, Sarah, Daniel, Colin, and Joseph; four great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ed (Ruth) and family. Thank you to the Grace Hospital staff for their care and understanding. An informal gathering in remembrance of Warren will be held for family and friends at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Harvest, 1085 Winnipeg Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0S2 or Prostate Cancer Research, CancerCare Manitoba, 1160 - 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
