He was born October 25, 1929, and raised on the home farm at Oak Point, MB. Gerald was predeceased by his first wife Alice; brothers Edward and Fred; sisters Lorraine and Doreen; parents Jean and Eva Desjarlais. He is survived by his wife Justine; brothers George, Jack, Harold, and Ronald; sisters Connie, Shirley, Irene, Ann and Esther along with many nieces and nephews. Gerald lived life to the fullest. He worked for Canada Packers for 32 years and was also a commercial fisherman for many years. Gardening was a passion of his. His garden and yard were meticulous. He was a generous man, always willing to help out anyone. Gerald loved talking with friends and strangers alike. He was loved by all who knew him. He never cried for himself, he cried for others. He never felt sorry for himself, he felt sorry for others. He was always thankful and he never complained. His last words were Thank you . In keeping with Gerald's wishes, cremation has taken place with a burial to be held at a later date. Loved and remembered as our most wonderful and dearest companion and friend.
