EVA SOPHIA GRAHAM (nee HARRIS) Peacefully on December 5, 2011, Eva passed away at the Victoria Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, son Russel (Bernice), son-in-law Frank Keen, brother Bert (Maxine) and sister Jean. Eva is survived by her brother George (Viola); her son Ron (Susan); daughters, Peggy Keen and Pat (Ken) Lenton; and her grandchildren, Rhonda, Carrie, Greg, Thaine, Sandi, Francis, Nathan, Tyrone, Kyle and Laura, 16 great-grandchildren and many other loved relatives. Eva was born in Miami, Manitoba on February 21, 1928 to Charlie and Beatrice Harris. The family moved to the Swan River Valley near Bowsman in 1929. She moved to Winnipeg in her late teens. There she met Bill, her husband of 49 years. They settled in St. Vital on Sterling Avenue, raised their family and lived there until she moved into The Golden Door Geriatric Centre in December 2006. Eva worked at the Red River Co-op Store on Henderson Highway for many years. She enjoyed gardening, woodworking, upholstering, ceramics, quilting, crocheting, bird watching, fishing and travelling. Eva and Bill were actively involved in supporting Glenlee Community Club. Eva was a thoughtful and giving person, with wisdom and a sense of humour that would catch you off guard. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family thanks the staff of The Golden Door Geriatric Centre for the excellent care she received. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
