JOHN MATHIAS MACHALEK We are saddened to announce the passing of John on December 7, 2011 at Fred Douglas Lodge. He was predeceased by his wife Helene; his parents, Frank and Esther; brothers, Frank and Julius; and sister Irene. He leaves to mourn sons, Terrance (Willie) and Walter (Mandy); grandchildren, Natasha (Tim), Stephen (Lindsay), Terrance II (Jill) and Darren; great-grandchildren, Jayde and Alexander; brother George (Grace); and sister Georgia, plus numerous relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Evergreen Unit at Fred Douglas Lodge for the loving care they gave John during his residence there. We would also like to thank Rev. Paul Peters Derry and Rev. Mary Best. Also much appreciation to the Home Care staff from the WHRA. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. A Memorial Service will be held at Atlantic-Garden City United Church, 725 Atlantic Avenue, Winnipeg, MB at 12:30 p.m. with a light lunch to follow. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 www.gleneden-mb.ca
