PHYLLIS IRENE BLAIR On December 9, 2011, at the West Park Manor Personal Care Home, Phyllis Irene Blair, widow of the late McCrea Parker Blair, passed away at the age of 89 years. PHYLLIS IRENE BLAIR (nee ECKTON) October 14, 1922 - December 9, 2011 On December 9, 2011, at West Park Manor Personal Care Home, our mother passed away peacefully with family by her side. A loving wife and mother, Phyllis was pre-deceased by her husband, McCrea Parker; her sisters, Dorothy and Aileen; and her brother, Edward. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan (David), Sally (Tom) and Debbie (Gerry); her son, David (Mathieu); and her grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan), Sarah, Christopher (Jennifer), Mark and John. Our mother was a selfless, unassuming woman with unique creative talents and a love of knowledge. She faced the hardships of life with great courage and strength. Her acts of kindness and generosity left a mark on many. The family wishes to thank the staff of West Park Manor for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9, or to a charity of your choice.
