BEVERLEY HATCHER (nee TINKER) During the early hours of Saturday, December 10, 2011 our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Beverley Hatcher, passed away at the Grace Hospital. Bev was born February 10, 1935 in Winnipeg where she lived her entire life. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John, her children, Janice (Michael) Franzen, Cheryl (Rick) Barron, Bruce (Amber) Hatcher, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren...at last count, and her sisters, Joanne Collins, Donna Chambers and many nieces and nephews. While Bev spent the majority of her life as wife and mother, she spent a number of years working outside the home at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and Hart-Emerson International. She spent countless hours volunteering with Girl Guides of Canada, The Grace Hospital and her church, St. Andrew's Anglican Church, selflessly helping and giving in any way she could. She loved music and sang in the Daniel McIntyre Alumni and St Jude's Church Choir. Her faith and participation in Bible study and Friends of St. Andrew's were a strong influence of who she was and were an inspiration to those who knew her. Bev and John raised their family in the Westwood area where she lived until the time of her passing. Bev enjoyed her travels, especially many trips to Calgary, Edmonton and Denver to spend time with her cherished grandchildren, watching them in their various activities and shopping. She loved her summers of entertaining family and friends at their cottage at Lake Malachi. In spite of the many health challenges she endured over the years as a result of her battle with diabetes, Bev persevered, lived life fully and enjoyed times spent with family and friends. A Celebration of Bev's life will be held on Friday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. with the Reverend Ian Mills officiating. In lieu of flowers, should anyone desire, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church Legacy Fund, 2700 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0R1 or The Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. You blessed our lives incredibly and we are thankful for the wonderful role model you were to each of us. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949 - 2200 nbardal.mb.ca
