Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Mrs Wallace was a favourite teacher for myself and my 2 older sisters in the '60s. Her classes introduced us to many new skills. In particular I remember the monthly speaches we wrote and presented. Her influence on the childern that passed through grade 6 at Linwood school was inmeasureable. She is a favourite childhood memory of mine. - Posted by: Laura Simmmons (student ) on: Sep 01, 2014

  • I met Florence when I first came to Winnipeg in 1967. I taught one of the Grade 5 classes at Linwood and Florence taught one of the Grade 6 classes. I had taught one year in Toronto so I was still very new at the job. Florence was always there to listen and to offer suggestions. I will always remember her gentle ways. Rest in peace, Florence. - Posted by: Leann (Adair) Smith (friend) on: Dec 20, 2011
