AURORA ARINGO (nee MARCIAL) Aurora Aringo (nee Marcial) peacefully passed away on December 13, 2011 at Holy Family Nursing Home, at the wise age of 98 years. She is survived by her four children: Leopoldo Aringo and his wife Anita (residing in the Philippines), Alicia (Aringo) Sobrevinas and her husband Joven, Amelia (Aringo) Torio and her husband Renato, and Alfredo Aringo and his wife Evelita. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Aurora Aringo was born on July 19, 1913 in Manila, Philippines. She was a strong woman who raised her four children independently when her husband suddenly died when she was only 38 years young. She then immigrated to Canada in 1974, and became an active member of the Filipino Seniors Group (OFSAM). She loved to garden and was a great dress maker sewing many beautiful dresses and gowns. She lived a long, and happy life filled with joy surrounding herself with her family and friends. Our family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and especially the nurses' aides at Holy Family Nursing Home for caring for our beloved mom and grandmother as if she was their own. Lamay Service will be held to celebrate Aurora's life on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews Street, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
