Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) ROBINSON John (Jack) Robinson, at the age of 70, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 15, 2011. He will be forever missed by his wife of 46 years, Phyllis (nee Stamler), his daughter Katherine Ollson (Daniel), grandchildren Gregory (Kathryn), Christopher and Nicole, his son John (Erin), brother Alexander (Rita) and nephews Robert and Douglas. John was actively involved with sports but his true passion was football. His amateur career began with the Western Wildcats, St. James Rams, St. James Rods and it continued on with a professional career in the CFL that included terms with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes. Later in life John continued on with his passion for the game by coaching his own son and eventually with the help of his son-in-law Dan, his grandsons. John's immediate family was very important to him along with his close friend Ted Pawlyk and of course his special girls Phyllis, Katherine and Nicole. We would like to express our gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses at Pine Falls Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre for their special care. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave. (across from Brookside Cemetery). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
