JAMES NEIL (JIM) RINN James Neil Jim Rinn, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Born October 8, 1947, in Crystal City, MB, Jim would later move with his family to Winnipeg, MB, then to Stonewall, MB, where he would finish his schooling. It was in Stonewall that he met his wife, Donna Cassels, and where he began his career with Manitoba Hydro. His career would eventually take Jim, Donna and their three sons to Deloraine, MB, where they spent the next 16 years. Although their marriage ended in 1987, Jim and Donna remained friendly. Jim would later move on to Neepawa, MB, and Minnedosa, MB, before retiring to Souris, MB. In his retirement, Jim spent his time helping his sons with home projects, doting on his grandchildren, and catching up on his reading. In the end, it was a brief bout of cancer that took Jim. Jim is survived by his father, Neil; his mother, Elizabeth Schindel; sister, Kris (Len) Tufts; brother, Kelly; sons James (Amber), Trevor (Amrit), and Warren (Christine), grandchildren Maya, Charlie, Jackson and Kate; niece, Kira Tufts and nephew Lane Tufts. A Memorial Service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on December 16, 2011, with Mr. Jamie Berry, Brockie Donovan Funeral Celebrant, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in memory of Jim be made to the Souris Health Centre, Box 10, Souris, MB, R0K 2C0.
