JEFFREY M. SEARCY July 28, 1959 - December 15, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Jeff. He passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre after a brief battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Ivy and Harry Searcy. He is survived by sister Linda, brother Don (Sandi), nieces and nephew Teresa (Sean), Tricia (Derek), Jason and Stefanie, great-nephews Keenan, Austin and Ethan. He will be sadly missed by his family and many close friends. Jeff was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He grew up in East Kildonan and graduated from Kildonan East Collegiate. He spent 34 years as an electrician. His last 14 years were spent as a proud owner of Capital Electric with his brother Don. He enjoyed his annual fishing trips, warm winter vacations and spending time with his family and friends. Jeff was always the life of the party and was well known for saying what everyone else thought . Memorial Service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Our family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre and Health Sciences Centre for all of their care and compassion in Jeff's last weeks. Hey Don, I heard through Dave Rubel about Jeff's passing. Although I haven't seen you guys in many a year, I still remember fondly of our days together at Sherwood and Morse Place. Jeff brought many a smile to my face and it sounds like he continued to be a beacon of humour in his adult life. Thinking of you here on the west coast.
