DONNA CAROL MCCONNELL It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we must announce the peaceful passing of Donna Carol McConnell on December 15, 2011. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Roberta; her sister, Brenda; Aunt Thelma and her family and Cousin George and his family. Donna was predeceased by her father, Donald and by her grandparents, Robert and Florence Brown and William and Mary McConnell. Donna attended Windsor School and Glenlawn Collegiate. She became a skilled legal secretary, working in Winnipeg, Calgary and Montreal, before choosing to return to her family roots in Winnipeg. In her youth, she enjoyed 5 pin bowling, table tennis and dancing. Throughout her life, Donna's flair for interior design, wonderful organizational skills and sense of history were highlighted in her homes. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Donna's love of animals, the family would appreciate any donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, R3T 0R3.
