RICHARD FIDLER 1945 - 2011 Our brother Richard passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of December 19, 2011, at the Grace Hospital, as a result of kidney complications. Born in Winnipeg, Richard is survived, and will be missed by his siblings, Jo Ann (Doug), Montrose, Miranda (Jim) and Nadine (Chris), as well as his nephews, great-nephews, nieces and great-niece. He was predeceased by his parents, Sally and Percy; his brother Barry; and nephews, Dean and Ben. Richard worked for many years as a driver at Manitoba Cartage. He had an enduring love for classic cars and was a formidable cribbage player. Richard enjoyed feasting at family dinners and was very fond of Nadine's homemade butter tarts. He was always asking, When's the next family due? . Richard's bossy sister Miranda ensured that he was kept in check during his later years. Thank you to the staff at the Grace Hospital ICU for their care and compassion. Cremation and a private family service have already taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated. At Peace Forever For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
