Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER SCHROEDER Peacefully on December 26, 2011 Peter passed away at the Donwood Manor at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his beloved Anne; brother John; sister Tina and parents William and Gertrude Schroeder. His memory will be forever cherished by his children Barbara (James Gosselin), Sandy, Michael and Rani (Larry Funk); grandchildren Stephanie, Jennifer, Chelsea, Sheena, Gage, Shayleigh, Alex, Victoria and Emma; brother Bill (Gussy) Schroeder and his sister-in-law Marie Schroeder as well as numerous extended family and friends. Dad was born and raised in Horndean, MB and came to Winnipeg where he worked as a labourer at various jobs until his retirement. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed every moment he got to spend with his children and grandchildren. Dad had a strong sense of faith and family and his character displayed this with a smile and a warm hug for everyone he met. His Love, Kindness and Gentleness will always be Remembered. Together with Mom again celebrating in Eternity. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Hwy. Peter was my father John's roommate when he first arrived at Donwood. Dad knew Peter from Donwood assisted living Apts. Dad was very happy to be Peters roomate. Peter became a good friend to all our Family. We will miss him dearly. Please accept our deepest sympathy, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are saddened by Peters passing and express our sympathies. We had the pleasure of knowing Peter during our services at Donwood. Thurs. night Bible Study and Sunday morning church service. He was always happy and we would laugh together as we would go to the Chapel. He was always a blessing to us. We will miss him dearly. Again our condolences in your loss.
