Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABEL SOUTHALL Peacefully on December 24, 2011 Isabel Southall passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Tom Southall on December 17, 1977; sisters, Janet, Shirley, Liz, and brother Tommy. Isabel is survived by her sister Kay, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She will be so sadly missed by her niece Pat, Paul, Shannon and Marc, Sherri and Dwayne, Cody, Katelynn and Riley whom she was a big part of our family. Aunty Isabel had a funny sense of humour and was always a joy to have around. Aunty Isabel loved to take rides out to Gimli to pick up fresh fish and come back to our house and have homemade fish and chips. Born April 1, 1916 in Glasgow, Scotland, Isabel came to Canada with her parents and younger sister in 1919, where the family settled in East Kildonan. She met her husband Tom and they were married in 1937. Isabel lived a full life, she and her husband Tom opened up Linden Confectionery back in the 1950s, they sold the business, she then went to work at Eaton's and worked there until she retired. She had a passion for plants and always kept a beautiful flower garden. She was a member of the Winnipeg Horticultural Society for many years where she won many ribbons for her arrangements. African Violets were one of her favourites. Isabel also loved to curl and swim. Pat and family would like to express thanks to Gill and Dolly, and Anita who spent a lot of time with Aunty Isabel and they took very good care of her. A thank you to all the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge and the Elm unit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manitoba Breast Cancer Foundation Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 www.gleneden-mb.ca
