BRIAN COX Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Brian passed away at the Poseidon Care Home Tuesday, on December 20, 2011. Brian was predeceased by his parents, William and Francis (Rita) Cox. Brian will be dearly missed by his brother, Barry (Grace) Cox; sister, Margaret (Gordon) McLean; nephews, Darren (Myra) Cox, Glen McLean, Mark (Candace) McLean; and niece, Marlys (John) Heim and their families. Brian grew up in the West End of Winnipeg and at a young age developed a keen interest in aviation. In 1957, those interests lead him to Air Canada, where he went on to a career spanning 35 years, before retiring in 1992. Brian loved his independence but also cherished his time with family. He was fond of the outdoors enjoying long walks, spending time at the family cabin and traveling the province. His family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon Care Home for their kindness and compassion. Brian always felt at home in their care. A service celebrating Brian's life will be held on January 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Canada (www.parkinson.ca) or to a charity of choice. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
