NORA MARY MCILEARNEY (May 14, 1927 - December 26, 2011) Suddenly, on December 26, 2011, Nora McIlearney passed away at the age of 84 years, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, James, and her beloved son, Richard. Nora was born in The Republic of Ireland. In her late teens she moved to England where she met and married James. The couple later emigrated to Canada in 1957. Nora lived the remainder of her life in Winnipeg, MB. Nora enjoyed many years of work in a variety of retail stores until her retirement. While she also enjoyed gardening and was an active member of her church, she was above all, a devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed. Prayers will be held on Monday, January 2, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with Rev. Msgr. Comeault, P.H. as Celebrant. Interment will be held at the Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nora's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6, or the Canadian Cancer Society, 191 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
