JEAN SMITH 1922 - 2011 We lost my sweet dear mom Jean on December 29, 2011 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and will be forever cherished by her daughter Doreen. Interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. No formal service will be held at this time. Dearest Doreen, As hard as it is to reconcile the passing of my wonderful, gentle, sweet and kind Aunty Jean the quote from Isla Paschal Richardson comes to mind as it personifies your Mom's joy of life. "Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you there." Dear Doreen, We are so saddened by your Mom's passing.She was such a dear friend and neighbour at Red Rock Lake.We will miss her cheery smile and sweet disposition. We enjoyed our many get togethers back and forth-the happy hours, the dinners and the wonderful visits. Even in the latter years when she wasn't feeling the greatest, she always had an upbeat attitude, a cheery disposition and a smile for us.
