CHARLIE (CHAS) ARCHIBALD MACINTOSH BECK It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father on December 28, 2011. Charlie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 6, 1926, and was a long time resident of Fort Garry. Dad was predeceased by his wife Margaret, and his brother Arnold, and is survived by his brother John, his blended family of, Janice, Laura, Chuck, Chris, Jeff and Bruce; grandchildren Jennifer, Jason, Morgan, Vicki, Julie, Mason, Brian and Michael; nieces Andrea, Karen, and nephews, Arch, Bruce, and Grant. He enjoyed a long career with the Pitney Bowes Company retiring after 35 plus years of service. Dad was a lover of the great outdoors and all it had to offer, at times a hunter, a fisherman and birdwatcher, this appreciation was instilled in his children and grandchildren. He revelled in his time in the kitchen where he created tantalizing dishes for all to savour and enjoy. Dad truly enjoyed his life. He spent many happy times with family and friends at the family summer home on Toad Island, Lake of the Woods. In latter years he enjoyed sitting on the deck at home, watching the birds, an occasional camp fire and many sunsets.
