Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Well great grandma it has almost been a year now since you have been gone :( I miss you dearly but know you're in a better place. Christmas is coming up and while doing all the Christmas shopping and putting up the tree the one of the best things this time of year was getting a Christmas card from you which I check in the mailbox for everyday even though I know you're gone. I just want it to be a dream that I wake up from so I could spend more time with you instead of taking the time for granted. Well great grandma I love and miss you dearly and this year I'll be bringing you and great grandpa a Christmas card and flowers and make sure you name plate is clean and place the flowers around it:) I miss you dearly and will always be thinking about you and loving you:) - Posted by: Marissa (Great grand daughter) on: Dec 20, 2012

  • My great-grandma was a big part in my life. She gave me her car as my first car (the car was even older than I was, I am going to be 20 and the car 21 lol). I have lots of memories with my great-grandma and glad she was able to see me graduate. She will be gratefully missed and loved! - Posted by: marissa (great granddaughter) on: Feb 25, 2012

  • On Dec 30th sitting with grandma and joining in her 90th birthday celebration sitting on her bed with her and talking about anything and everything not knowing this would have been the last conversation I would have held with grandma, I would have hugged her a little tighter, kissed her on the head a little longer and extended the conversation a lot longer and made the laughter we shared a lot louder. I feel I need to share some memories due to the fact all was so sudden and words were caught in my heart and were very hard to let go so suddenly. The earliest memories of Grandma were of her and grandpa sitting around the kitchen table listening to CJOB while grandma made instant coffee for grandpa and got him ready for work and prepared her english cup of tea to sit down and talk with the grandchildren she sat with in the mornings before school. After school Grandma would make us a snack, Cheese wiz or peanut butter sandwiches and Freshie (Kool-Aid) these days. These were awesome times and conversation and have remained with me. Grandma and I had a conversation in the summer that has stuck in my mind. She had mentioned to me how it would be nice at her age to share her time with a partner because life can get boring on your own at her age and she gave a little smile. Well I know now she is in heaven with my Grandfather she loves and missed listening to CJOB and spending time with her husband again. I miss you Grandma and will really miss the visits and talks. Love your Granddaughter Brenda. - Posted by: Brenda Aymont (1st born grandchild) on: Jan 21, 2012
