ELIZABETH (TOOTS) KLASSEN (FRIESEN) June 24, 1925 - January 8, 2012 With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma, Sister, and Auntie Toots. Toots passed away peacefully on January 8, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Ed, of 54 years in 2003; as well as her parents Isaac, and Justina, and siblings Bill, Isaac, Teenie, Agathe, and Sally. She will lovingly missed, cherished, and remembered by her son Ken (Jan), and daughter Karen (British Columbia), along with her five grandchildren Michael, Larissa, Sierra, Chase, and Kylan. She will also be deeply missed by her surviving siblings Art, Jack (Lil), Larry (Margaret), and Yvonne (Burt); along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank all the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their unconditional care, and compassion in Toot's final weeks, along with Dr. Jana Pilkey, and her Team for providing Toots with comfort, peace, grace, and dignity. Funeral service will be held at Klassen Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ron Koleba will be officiating. Pallbearers will be as follows: Robert Klassen, Dr. Brian Friesen, Warren Klassen, Terry Barkman, Dale Friesen, and Kimberley Rain. Toots will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We will all miss you deeply and love you forever... In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations can be made in Toots' memory to a charity of your choice.
