Maria as I remember her was a very hospitable lady She would insist on all of us staying to eat no matter how many we were . When I moved away from Wpg I knew she would send me a Christmas card every year. I am thankful that God brought her and Edmund into my life. - Posted by: Sophie Zielke (cousin) on: Jan 14, 2012

Maria was a very friendly loving person. She was very hospitable having our family Peter and Olga Matthies over many times serving her wonderful Vespers. I know her life was not easy when she was young however she never complained about it. She made the most of what her life gave her. She was very happy when Ed came into her life and was wonderful to see them so happy together being able to do things together. I'm sorry she was ill and ask God to comfort her sisters and husband, nieces and nephews. Rita - Posted by: Rita Matthies Smyth (cousin) on: Jan 13, 2012
