Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I think of you and nanny often uncle Roy. Our family is so much smaller now. I have flown to Winnipeg to put flowers on your graves, wish I lived closer so I could do it more often. I have so many fond memories of you and nanny when we would come to visit. I always admired you for looking after nanny so well. I now run a nursing home in Edmonton and take of seniors everyday. Funny how things change. Lost touch of Myrtle, I really wish I knew where she was so I could see her. You loved her so much. I know that you are both happy in heaven, I will see you again one day. RIP uncle. Love you forever. Jenn - Posted by: Jennifer Neary Berger (Great grand daughter) on: Jun 08, 2019

  • Linda and I are very sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I received a letter from Mrytle today with the news. Roy and I worked together at the Hotel Saskatchewan for amost 10 years. We became close friends and had a lot of great times together. I used to fix vehicles and Roy would often bring his VW van to me to get it repaired. One day his van was parked in my back yard so I phoned himt o see what he needed fixed and he said he had bought a new van and he wanted me to have his old VW. In later years I restored the VW and sent pictures to Roy of his old van, he really like it. I would talk to Roy often and we would catch up on our lives and laugh about times we spent together. I will truly miss my close friend but he will always be in my heart. - Posted by: Chuck O'Connor (friend) on: Jan 19, 2012
