LILLIAN EMILY HILL It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Lillian Hill on January 12, 2012, at the age of 75 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Virginia Giesbrecht, brother-in-law Edward Starsiak, nieces Carol (Chuck), Teri, Sandra (Garry), great-niece Courtney, nephews Steven (Wanda), David and Wayne, sister, Aunty Emily and Uncle Emil. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald, sister Emily, mother Patricia, dad Henry (Mary) Valenta, and grandmother Anna Hayny. Lil was such a special person. If you knew her, you loved her. She was unconditional in her love for everyone in her life, and thoughts of her will always bring up a picture of a beautiful, kind and generous woman, always with a warm and happy smile on her face. She was there for everyone, with an open heart to lend a caring thought or to just listen when you needed a friend. Lil enjoyed her summers at the cottage and the many neighbours and children who would stop by to visit. She had many good and life-long friends, and they all kept in touch and talked with each other every day, by phone, email or Skype. If you wanted to get in touch with Lil, there was a very good chance her line would be busy for hours at a time, or if you happened to get through on Skype, you would hear her phone ringing in the background. Lil also had a group of friends she loved to play golf with, which gave her many years of great enjoyment. Lil gave meaning and fulfillment to many of us, and our lives will forever be changed by her passing. We will you miss you dearly, Lil. May God grant you eternal rest. A family service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make a donation to a charity of their choice. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My husband and I moved to Best St as a young family. Ron and Lil made us feel welcome and always had a smile when we went for a walk. Lil was especially kind to our children and watched them grow up. I will miss talking to her on the side walk - Posted by: Sharon Bain (Neighbor) on: Apr 07, 2012
