AUDREY GRETA WASS (nee SINCLAIR) January 1, 1931 - January 14, 2012 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom passed away peacefully on January 14, 2012 in Selkirk, MB. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles, son Edwin (Carol), daughters, Shirley (Ken), Brenda (Dave), Marlene (Alfred) and Denny (Lorraine), her nephew, whom mom thought of as her son; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sister, Mabel, brother-in-law Ralph, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom's home was in Stony Point, where she and Dad lived and raised their family. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and hearing about their lives and activities and was proud of all of their accomplishments. Mom and Dad moved to Selkirk 10 years ago due to health reasons, but always looked forward to going home to our many family gatherings at the family home. The family would like to thank her home care workers, and the nursing staff at the Selkirk and District General Hospital for their care and kindness to our mom and to us throughout this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Manitoba Lung Association or the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. As per mom's wishes, cremation has taken place with interment to be at a later date. A celebration of her life will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
