ALICE WOHLGEMUTH Mary Alice Toews Wohlgemuth was born to Frank P. and Katherine Toews on January 16, 1929 at Steinbach, Manitoba, and passed away January 15, 2012 at Steinbach, Manitoba. Alice was converted, and baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on December 12, 1943. She remained faithful to this commitment. That lovely fall day of October 22, 1950, was the day Alice became the wife of me, Eddie Wohlgemuth. God gave us 61 years together, and four children. Our first three-and-a-half years were spent in the Steinbach community. Then we moved to Sinclair, Manitoba and resided there for 10 years. In the summer of 1964, we came back to Steinbach for 14 and one half years. In the fall of 1978, we moved to the Beausejour community. Declining health necessitated the move to Steinbach. Treasuring memories are her husband Eddie; four children, Carolyn and Ken Wohlgemuth of Swan River, Bruce and Kathy Wohlgemuth of Riding Mountain, Rhonda and George Friesen of Riding Mountain, Rodney and Marg Wohlgemuth of Beausejour; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and special family friend Ruth Isaac. Funeral services will be held from the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, 280 Loewen Boulevard, Steinbach, Manitoba on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:30 a.m. with viewing prior to the service. Viewing and devotional to be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 17, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment at Beausejour Church of God in Christ Cemetery.
