Cherished and adored daughter of Jody Fraser. Kaitlyn Jenna Lee Fraser was born in Windsor, ON, on January 13, 1993, and shortly after moved to Winnipeg, MB. She was always known as Jenna by her family, however decided at a young age she preferred to be called Kaitlyn by her friends. Kaitlyn attended Donwood Elementary School, where in Kindergarten met her life long best friend, Malyssa Brown. She went on to graduate from River East Collegiate High School in the spring of 2011, where her friends were the highlight of her life. Jenna's beautiful, bubbly personality was infectious and loved by all those she touched along the way. Jenna will be deeply missed by her mother Jody Fraser, grandparents Brian and Cynthia Fraser, and Florence and Peter Dueck, aunties Kelly Marr, Amanda Fraser (Nigel Young), Sarah Fraser, Mary Wilson, her uncle Michael Fraser, cousin and little companion Claire Young, as well as her very dear extended family Don and Valeri Brown, sister Malyssa Brown, and brother Mark Brown. Jenna will be truely missed by numerous other aunts, uncles, and loved ones. While we will miss you in so many ways, we will remember you in so many more. We will forever love you and keep you in our hearts. A viewing for all of her family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. If anyone would like to write a letter to Jenna, you are invited to place it with her at this time. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Doctors without Borders or consider sponsoring a child from Africa through Compassion International. I only met you for a few days when you were 9 years old but those few days were enough to inbed your memory into my heart. You were so bubbly and happy I cannot imagine how your family must be feeling at the loss of someone as special as you. I only found out about your passing on 22-05-12 whilst looking through google. To say I was heart broken and lost for words would be an understatement. May you rest in peace and God be looking down on your family x - Posted by: A (Distant Cousin) on: May 23, 2012

I didn't know "Jenna" but I am grieving for her and her family and friends. This tragedy should have been prevented and I hope the city makes sure that it NEVER happens again. My son and his friends hung out at her McDonalds and liked her very much. Sometimes things happen, and we never know why, but God has big plans for her, and you have to try to believe that she is part of His divine plan. She must have been very special indeed. - Posted by: Monica Berk (no relation) on: Jan 25, 2012

My daughter, Taylor met Kaitlyn through friends when she was in grade 8. The girls were inseparable for almost 3 years. Kaitlyn spent many, many days at my home and the laughs never stopped. My youngest daughter remembers Kaitlyn telling her often that she was beautiful. When I drove the girls around to their various events, Kaitlyn would jump in my car and the first thing she would say was either "I love your hair!" or "you look so great today!" Taylor and Kaitlyn grew apart but my family continued to love her. Thank you Kaitlyn for sharing your beauty, your love for life and infectious personality. We love you! - Posted by: Cathy Farrell (Mother of Taylor Bell ) on: Jan 25, 2012

Kaitlyn and my son Kristopher Scharf became friends in Donwood. They stayed friends through Chief and I was blessed with getting to know her even more. She would always have a huge smile when she was in halls or class and always bowled me over with her huge hugs and calling my name Mrs D. She always brightened my days with that. She then left Chief to go to Rivereast. It was hard saying good bye but she and all her friends had to move on in their lives but we had to hope they were prepared and she sure was. She made her teachers so proud to have had the chance to work with her even for the short time we had her. We will miss her for a very long time and my family is praying for her family and friends. Kaitlyn enriched our lives more than she will ever know. We love you Kaitlyn. May you rest in peace and be with angels little one and thank you for all the wonderful memories you have given us. - Posted by: Lynda Delorme ( Fiend of my son for 12 yrs and through her years at Chief Peguis as one of my students) on: Jan 24, 2012

I graduated with Kaitlyne. My mom and I extend our sympathy to the family. May Jesus comfort u so much it is so important to live each day for God. His presence is beautiful and His garden is awesome. All of Wpg. feels you're pain. She was a very special woman always being kind. God has a plan for each one of our lives and Kaitlyne showed so many people what being a Christian was all about. She is resting in the arms of the Creator who created her. I trust u feel that God is still there by your side. He took into his presence absent from the body but present with the Lord. - Posted by: Lois. This world has lost a special someone. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know Kaitlyn as she did a career internship from school, at the daycare where I work. She had a special gift in the love she showed for children and adults alike. The influence she had on others will live for a long time to come. Sleep well sweetheart. - Posted by: Erin Hilderman (Friend from work) on: Jan 21, 2012

I remember meeting Kaitlyn "Jenna" when she was a small child at her Auntie Kelli's house. My daughter who was a bit older, played with her and hit it off after the shyness wore off. She was exuberant and spoke what was on her mind then. Her life was cut short and there has to be some reason why. My sympathies and condolences to her family, surrogate family, friends and other loved ones. Heaven has another angel. - Posted by: Coreena Keeley () on: Jan 21, 2012
