MARY SIELSKI (FEDUSIK)
Born: Jun 13, 1922
Date of Passing: Jan 18, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY SIELSKI (nee FEDUSIK) It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on January 18, 2012 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her parents; loving husband of 61 years, Herb; brother John; and sisters, Rose and Sophie. Left to mourn her passing are daughter Judy (Ernie); grandchildren, Kathy and Jen (Russell); great-grandchildren, Declan and Kaylyn; sister Kay; sister-in-law Olive, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 13, 1922 and grew up in the north end. After she married Dad on June 7, 1947, they spent most of their years living in Winnipeg's north end and for a while at Winnipeg Beach next to Dad's brother Ed and his family. Mom's working years were spent at Perfect Fit Glove Factory. During her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and made the most beautiful doilies. She also loved 5 pin bowling and was a member of Mosienko Bowling Lanes for many years, until arthritis took its toll and she could no longer do the things she loved. Mom was also an avid reader, especially of medical books and magazines. She loved to self-diagnose and also to offer her new found knowledge to the rest of us. The family would like to thank all the staff at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa for their care and compassion. A special thank you to Vida and Pat who were Mom's caregivers over the years, Marion, Don and Doris who visited Mom often and family and friends who supported us during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3L 0K6 or a charity of one's choice. Cremation has taken place and a service in celebration of Mom's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Rest in Peace with the Angels, Mom.
