Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE FUNK (KIRSCH) 1926 - 2012 After a lengthy illness, Irene passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Irene is survived by her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kirsch, Vonnie Kirsch, Maria Peters, Etta Gerbrand and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband Jake; her sister Joyce; brothers, Alec, Victor, Edwin, Emmanuel and Arnold; her mother Amolia; and her father Conrad. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street officiated by Pastor Don Engel. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. S. Armstrong, Dr. Komenda, Dr. Reggata and the Seven Oaks Dialysis nursing staff for all the years of care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
