"There is a little plant called reverence, in the corner of my soul's garden which I love to have watered once a week" These words from Oliver Wendell Holmes will be a fond remembrance to me, of my beloved Grandma and all the beauty that her green thumb blessed the world with. She had an amazing love of nature, and knew how to bloom and grow anything she planted. From her bountiful gardens, to picking blueberries in the woods at Ingolf lake, she was "Grandma nature" to me. A gift from her, I learned patience, compassion, and hard work. She also taught the importance of leisure, and how to enjoy peaceful tranquility amidst the anxious pace that life brings us. My Grandma was a gentle soul, and now with reverence, I will tend the gifts she gave me as a remembrance of her. And if I reach 102, it will be due in part to the patience, and compassion Grandma Annie planted in my heart. I Love You~~ - Posted by: brenda mcdonald (grandaughter) on: Jan 22, 2012
