Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD HAROLD KATRICK May 9, 1943 - January 20, 2012 Totally unexpectedly and far too soon, Ron passed away in his sleep having just returned from a dream trip to Panama. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Gladys Katrick, father-in-law Fred Colston and sister-in-law Jenny Quesnel. Surviving to miss him so, so much are wife of 35 years, Christine, daughters Laurie (Ray Lowe), Heather (Rob Ellison), granddaughter Cheyenne and step-grandson Zack. Also left to mourn his loss is sister Janice (John Thiessen) and brother Gerry (Kathy Katrick), mother-in-law June Colston, nephews and nieces David, Mandy, Tracey, Brenda and Shayla. Ron worked for Eatons for 35 years and retired in 1996 - becoming chief cook and bottle washer till I retired in 2003. Our best times were spent with family for summer barbeques and holiday meals. He loved his sports, especially the Blue Bombers and the Jets and always looked forward to opening day at the Assiniboia Downs. Donations to Siloam Mission or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
