Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRON SEMCHYSHYN Ron Semchyshyn, aged 66 years, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2012, with family and friends by his side at the I.H. Asper Institute, St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg. Ron was born June 12, 1945 and spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked a variety of jobs around the province from roofing to cleaning until finally settling in at Vita Health Products in October of 2000. There Ron worked as the Building Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement in April 2011. During those 11 years, Ron was not only a co-worker to the staff at Vita, but a friend, a father figure, a mentor, and a councillor. Ron touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humour all the way until the end. We'll miss you Dollar Man! Viewing will be held Friday, January 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28 at 8:00 a.m., at St. Edward's Church, 818 Arlington Street, Winnipeg. Ron, you will be missed. You had a heart of gold and never said "no" when asked for help. We became close friends when I started at Vita Health and worked closely. I had so much respect for you and appreciated our friendship. You had a great sense of humor and you enjoyed to laugh. I will always remember your smile and your retire jar that we all contributed to when we would come to your office. I am not going to say good bye to you, but I will say we will meet again one day. And at that time we will enjoy a coffee and remember the great memories we shared. You are in our thoughts and prayers my friend. God be with you.
