Dr. Lucash was my daughter's doctor since she was born in St. B. This was September 1999. I was recommended by my daughter. As a new immigrant from China, I learned so much from Dr. Lucash, from nutrition, to daily care of a child, to many of those pleasant conversations. Dr. Lucash is the best Paediatrician that I can ever have. She is so patient, pleasant, precise and she will be missed for ever and forever lived in our heart. - Posted by: Huilan (Mother of a patient of Dr. Lucash) on: Aug 18, 2014

My deepest condolences to the family. I had only learned of Dr. Lucash's passing through the "OnManitoba" journal in the obituaries section. I was a student in the 80s when Dr. Lucash was one of my preceptors. I always remember her to be tall, gentle and kind and extremely meticulous with her assessments of her patients and extreme concern for their care and follow up. She has definitely stuck out in my mind when it comes to remembering teaching excellence and quality of care in medicine. Dr. Lucash was both of my daughters Doctor from the time she started into private practice. She was a very caring and loving doctor. A few years back when my youngest daughter and I went for an appt. while Dr. Lucash was going through her treatments for cancer, we asked her how she was doing. She said to us that we all have to die at some point, and her biggest fear in meeting other people with cancer was not them dying, but that they may die not knowing Jesus as their personal Saviour. She had no fear for herself, but was very concerned for others! Her strength impressed both of us, and we still feel the impact her comments made on us that day. Her faith was beautiful! We will miss you! Our condolences to the family. - Posted by: Andrea Wiebe (Mother of former patients) on: Feb 01, 2012

Dr. Lucash took excellent care of our daughters, now 19 and 16, since birth. She was a very important part of all our lives. She cared for every child as her own, and in the years since she became ill, showed immense amounts of courage. May she rest now, free from pain, in the arms of the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. - Posted by: Huyghe family (former patients) on: Jan 27, 2012
