Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA MAGNUSINA WILKINSON (nee NARFASON) May 6, 1922 - January 25, 2012 It is with great sorrow that the family of Emma Wilkinson announces her passing on January 25, 2012, after a brief illness, at the Betel Home in Gimli, Manitoba. Emma Magnusina Wilkinson (nee Narfason) was born May 6, 1922 at the family farm Vidivollum in Gimli, Manitoba. She was the daughter of Elli Narfason and Runa (Isfeld). Emma married her lifelong love, Joseph Lorne (Joe) Wilkinson, also of Gimli, shortly following his return from the Second World War. Emma was predeceased by her husband Joseph Lorne (Joe) Wilkinson; daughter Teresa Lynn (Terry) Murphy; parents Elli and Runa Narfason; parents-in-law, Jack and Karin (nee Peterson) Wilkinson; sister-in-law, Gwen Narfason; brothers-in-law, Jim Mackenzie, Jim Harris, Jack Wilkinson and Buster Wilkinson. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Niki (Greg) Gould, Darlene (Bob) Wheeler; son, Joe (Monique Seguin) Wilkinson; son-in-law, Larry Murphy; grandchildren, Luke (Lori) Gould, Stefan Gould, Erica and Ryan Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Evangeline and Annalise Gould; sisters, Gerdur Harris, Dilla Narfason, Alda Mackenzie, Olan (Paul) Isfeld; brother Oli (Marj) Narfason; sister-in-law Bertha Wilkinson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Emma and Joe raised four children, and their strong character traits and warmth made them great parents. Emma's passion was her family. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered for her supportive attitude and caring disposition. Her family loved her very much. Emma will be greatly missed by all her knew her. The family would like to thank Dilla Narfason for all of her support and assistance over the years. We would also like to thank the Betel staff for all of their care over these last years and also the residents who were so kind and supportive. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Gimli Lutheran Church, 50 3rd Avenue at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012. Donations in Emma's memory may be made to Gimli Betel Home, Box 10, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0 or to a charity of your choice.
